Salvage Finally Works and the Station Still Isn’t Fixed | Space Haven | E02
In Space Haven, this station-run strategy / management simulation turns into a fight to stabilise production, recover resources, and keep the base functioning through salvage and system juggling. I’m trying to manage oxygen, temperature, recycling, expansion, and crew logistics while building an actual trade station… but right now it’s mostly emergency problem-solving with extra disasters.
This episode is basically me realising the station is falling apart, then trying to save it by stripping derelicts for every resource that isn’t nailed down.
That means:
rebuilding rooms because the layout is still fighting me
trying to get recycling and production chains working properly
manually exploring derelicts to unlock salvage
desperately turning wrecks into hull blocks before the station stalls out completely
We do eventually make progress, which is nice.
Unfortunately that progress comes with:
crew having breakdowns in the middle of missions
food staying dangerously low
resources arriving slower than the panic
the station still being one bad decision away from total nonsense
So this episode becomes less “peaceful trade hub management” and more:
salvage operations, collapsing morale, and me trying to brute-force a functioning economy out of wreckage.
Next episode, I need more hull blocks, more living space, and a station layout that doesn’t look like I designed it during a systems failure.
If you enjoy strategy and management sims where logistics, production, and colony planning are held together by panic and scrap metal, this Space Haven run is doing exactly that.
