Washington Today (2-23-24): U.S. hits Russia with 500+ sanctions over Ukraine war & Navalny death

President Joe Biden announces new sanctions targeting Russia's financial sector, military-industrial complex, procurement networks and those helping Russia evade previous sanctions – more than 500 people and entities targeted -- as Russia's war in Ukraine is about to hit the two year mark and a week after Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny died in a Russian prison.

We will hear from President Biden, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) in Kyiv meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz on his opposition to more aid to Ukraine, and Russia's Ambassador to the United Nations.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is asked about the Congressional Hispanic Caucus' criticism of reports the President may use executive orders to limit the ability of migrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico to seek asylum.
