Two Exercises I Used To Build Shoulders Like Cell | Boulder Shoulders | Capped Delts

In this video I show you two exercises I used to create boulder shoulders and capped delts. The shoulders are a much neglected muscle group due to the fact that most guys focus mainly on arms when training in the gym. By creating proportions whereby your shoulders are slightly wider than your arms, you will be helping to create a more "aesthetic" physique. For me personally, my inspiration for creating these shoulder proportions is my favourite fictional physique, Cell from Dragon Ball.

The two exercises I show you in this video target the side delts, otherwise known as the lateral deltoid. The lateral deltoid makes up the largest portion of your shoulder and will be predominantly responsible for giving your shoulders that capped appearance.

Exercise 1: Dumbbell Lateral Raises. This is a side delt exercise where I do not count sets or reps, ever! I use a relatively light weight, take extremely short rests between sets - 10-15 seconds - and focus on creating an insane pump. Just as an example - not a strict guideline - a lateral raise session may go so forth in terms of reps: 15, 13, 10, 7, 7, 7, 7, 7, 6... While 7 reps doesn't fall into my usual "high reps" bracket of 13 - 20 reps, I am still doing high reps due to the extremely short rests I'm taking, and I am still getting an incredible burn and pump for the exercise, thereby stimulating maximum hypertrophy!

Exercise 2: Alternating Cable Raises. In this shoulder exercise I employ the same philosophy as the aforementioned, we are focused on creating a sharp and intense burn in the shoulders. No counting sets, no counting reps, just destroying the side delts. The great thing about this exercise is that I've been doing it for so long and unlike other exercises, where the pump wanes over time the more you do it, this shoulder exercise still gives me almost as insane a pump as the first day I did it!
