ISRO to Launch Vyommitra to Space // IND Beats SA by 106 Runs

Science and Technology Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh, announced on Wednesday that India is gearing up to send Vyommitra, a female robot astronaut, into space as a precursor to the upcoming manned mission. Speaking at the Aaj Tak Agenda, he highlighted the significance of the Gaganyaan project, aimed at showcasing India's capabilities in human spaceflight. The scheduled test flight next year will see Vyommitra in action before the actual manned mission takes place. Additionally, India's prowess extends beyond outer space, as the upcoming Deep Sea Mission, expected to materialise within three years, will explore deep-sea resources, demonstrating the country's expertise not only in space exploration but also in the depths of the ocean.
Spinner Kuldeep Yadav claimed a remarkable five-wicket haul, complemented by two wickets from counterpart Ravindra Jadeja, propelling India to a decisive victory over South Africa in Johannesburg on Thursday. With the series ending in a 1-1 draw, India successfully defended a modest total of 201. The dominance began as India swiftly dismissed South African openers Reeza Hendricks (8) and Matthew Breetzke (4), along with half of the Proteas middle order, leaving them struggling at 42/3 after the powerplay.
Heinrich Klaasen's dismissal further deepened South Africa's plight, caught by Rinku Singh off Arshdeep Singh. Proteas captain Aiden Markram fell to Jadeja, while Yadav accounted for Donovan Ferreira. The spin duo continued to dismantle the South African lineup, with Jadeja claiming his second wicket by dismissing Andile Phehlukwayo, and Yadav cleaning up Keshav Maharaj. Yadav completed his five-wicket haul in the same over, capturing Nandre Burger, Lizaad Williams, and David Miller, sealing India's commanding triumph.
