Japan Raises Rates After 17 Years // WhatsApp Introducing New Feature

The Bank of Japan (BOJ) has raised its key interest rate from -0.1% to a range of 0% to 0.1%, citing a surge in wages following an increase in consumer prices. Back in 2016, the bank had slashed the rate below zero in a bid to revitalise the sluggish economy. With this hike, there are now no countries remaining with negative interest rates, which required individuals to pay for depositing money in banks.
WhatsApp has been diligently developing updates to improve user interaction. Recently, they unveiled features like indicating encrypted messages, restricting profile picture screenshots, and notifying users of mentions in status updates. Additionally, they're testing a feature allowing one-minute video uploads.
