PM Inaugurates India's Longest Sea Bridge // New Zealand Wins First T20 vs Pakistan

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu, the longest sea bridge in India, costing ₹17,840 crore. The bridge, spanning 21.8 kilometres, connects Mumbai's Sewri to Nhava Sheva in Raigad district. The name Atal Setu commemorates the late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and its construction began after PM Modi laid the foundation stone in December 2016, marking a significant milestone in India's infrastructure development.
Veteran seam bowler Southee clinched a significant milestone by taking four wickets, helping dismiss the tourists for 180 in the 18th over in response to New Zealand’s formidable 226-8. This handed the hosts an early advantage in the five-match series.
Southee's remarkable figures of 4-25, the standout performance in a high-scoring game at Eden Park, propelled him past the 150-wicket mark in T20 internationals. This achievement surpassed Bangladesh spinner Shakib Al Hasan's tally by 11 wickets.
The decisive blow came as Pakistan's run chase faltered, particularly after Babar Azam's dismissal in the 17th over. The former captain had aggressively contributed 57 runs off 35 balls, initially keeping his side in contention before Southee's brilliance sealed the victory for New Zealand.
