Rivka's Prayer - The Story of Rivka Levison
Rivka Levison, nee Vleeschhouwer, was born in 1939, the third of four children.
Her childhood was spent in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, under German occupation. In 1943 the family's children were sent into hiding by the Dutch underground, and Rivka was kept hidden at the home Petronella Koster, whom she referred to as "Tante Nel" (Aunt Nel). Rivka remained in the household for two years. After the war, she parted with Aunt Nel and returned to her parents. Rivka immigrated to Israel at the age of nineteen, studying at a teacher's school and then working as a teacher. She married Yehuda Levison, and the two have children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
