How to build an FPV quadcopter drone - a complete beginners guide tutorial - part 1
In this video, I’ll take you through a step by step, detailed build tutorial of a 5 inch, FPV racing quad. And along the way I’ll show you my top tips for a successful build and how to avoid any gotchas.
The FPV scene has literally hundreds of various products to select, with more and more coming out each week. It can be a lot of fun choosing components for and speccing out your next build, but for a lot of us, we’d just like to get flying and don’t want to waste time figuring out what parts will work well with each other. So, if you just want something super strong, that flies great and is easy to work on without breaking the bank, TheFPV Source from Unmanned tech is just that.
So using this kit a base I’ll show you how to put the frame together, mount and wire the motors, get the flight controller and ESCs soldered and wire up the FPV camera and video transmitter. I’ll also go through the setup of the RC Transmitter and Receiver as well as configuring the flight controller with the BetaFlight configurator.
And then we’ll take it out for its pre-flight checks and a maiden flight.
