Why we Like the Staff and Children:
The first one is the discovery of the inner strength of the children groomed in our school. The enthusiasm and energies exhibited by each of them in the cultural events revealed to us their urge to excel. Little encouragement, small boost and a word of praise by their beloved teachers has created new discoveries of inner strength and physical dyanmics. Each event was unique and different. There is abundant variety and immense creativity. Language wise, children from I to VII put up Kannada,Marati,Hindi and English language events. There are two dramas, one in English on "Mulan, the Chinese Woman Warrior" defending her nation against invasion of enemies with a message of valour and courage. The Second drama is in Hindi ,"Nukkad Deko" symbising the society we live in and giving a message to people to strenghten the institution of Democracy by exercising the right to vote.
Another outstanding presentation of music ,dance drama is by mix of boys and girls with lines "Tick Tick Plastic" highlighting to the audience ,the need to contain the use of plastic. The children attract our attention when children dance to the tunes and list to us ,the presence of plastic in every part of our life and the hazard it brings.
There are many dance sequences well choreographed dipicting patriotic ferver like Vande Mataram, Hey Vatan, another one idealsing the valourous deeds of Jhansi Rani Laxmi Bai. There are dipictions of Stree Shakti, Jagadambe, Amba Bhavani, in Marati and other languages with expression of fury and fighting the devil. Kannada Janapada has found its place of pride with children singing in chorous, lead by a leader, the beauty of the girl who entered their village life. Though this is a group song, the presentation attracts public attention due the presence of the girl narrated by the singers, going all around the place with dance steps and hypnotic actions.
Another notable presentation by the children was on the theme of saving the precious water for posterity, presented in the form of bhajan in Marati. The melodious chorus and the stage presentation of the theme brings to the fore, the skills children have mastered over repeated practices and rehearsals. Bharata Natyam The classical Bharata Natyam dance has found its expression on two occassion. One is exclusive, three minute long, energy packed intensely engaging dance. The foot work is marked by hard hit on the ground, rhythmic and senchronidsed and a jump in to the open space ,the cosmos. The other place where you could see pure and intense Bharata Natyam ,is fusion dance of many mixes,of which one is classical dance form.
One unique dipictions by the students of the prestigious SSRVM, Benakanhalli,Belgaum was a dance for Kannada,Malayalam, Tamil and one vedic Sloka recitation. The swift foot work and body postures of dancing troup of children ,take us to the cultural and linguistic regions of south Indian states. The dance for the tunes Vedic hymns create vibrations in the viewers body. This is a special, unique and engaging item readied to surprise the audience on the day of Anniversary.
The parents,on watching these intense presentations, will no doubt, have awe and reverence for the teachers at School. The bonding that the children develop with their teachers, during the rehearsals and practice sessions, will convert in to academic pursuit and higher grades of achievement. The students, both ,boys and girls, on getting public acclaim ,shall emerge heros' and come to limelight. Each cultural event will be topic for general discussion and critical acclaim. The participants ,our students, will find new dimension and definition for their life.
The second reason why today is a special day for us is the attitude the teaching staff have expressed in multiple ways during the preparation for the Anniversary. They have kept the students motivated and energised, focussed and oriented to singular aim of a unique and memorable School Anniversary this year. The variety and multiplicity of cultural extravaganza is the testimony to the alignment the staff has for the vision and mission the School has. It is only a matter of time that the Academic team converts this enthusiasm and energy to reach out to average and ordinary children in their class to help him/her navigate the hard journey he is undertaking.
