Canada's Carney Says 'Rules-Based World Order' Now Dead

Canada stands completely behind Greenland and Denmark, according to Prime Minister Mark Carney, who says the world's middle powers must work together to resist coercion from aggressive superpowers.

Carney says the "rules-based international order" is effectively dead, and Canada and other countries have no choice but to create new alliances to oppose pressure tactics and intimidation by great powers.

Carney calls on world leaders to "name reality" and stop invoking the "rules-based international order" as though it still functions, instead acknowledging that the most powerful pursue their interests using economic integration as a "weapon of coercion".
