Jamal Murray - Fantastic Finisher

Jamal Murray. The Blue Arrow is better known for his ability to shoot (hence the nickname), but I believe that his talent for taking it to the tin has gone a bit underrated. Murray makes mightily difficult shots with defenders draped on him. He’ll find the angle and maybe make you wonder just how he managed to think that up. He possesses a poise and purpose around the basket, and at only 6’4”, Murray manages to manuver through massive bodies to muscle his shots up.

The University of Kentucky Wildcat was worthy of some praise for his rookie year. He was workmanlike on his drives, and then wily and wondrous on his finishes. The wonder will stem a little bit from just how explosive he is. I’m not saying he’s as good, but he has flashes of young Flash’s finishing. Like I said, he’s 6’4” (that’s about Dwyane Wade’s height), so for Jamal to just jump AT the rim with the kind of force he does definitely surprises some.
