John Wall - Defensive Dynamo 16/17 Part 2

John Wall. 4x NBA All-Star. 2015’s NBA All-Defensive Second Team. 2017 All-NBA Third Team. The Washington Wizards’ franchise leader in steals. He finished the season just behind Draymond Green as the league leader in steals. He's arguably the greatest shot blocking point guard in NBA history, certainly the best one in the league today (let’s just assume Giannis Antetokounmpo isn’t necessarily a point guard). Understandably, his defense has been called into question during the season (his inability or unwillingness to fight over screens is something that isn’t hard to spot), but in the playoffs, he’s been more locked in. Sure, the effort isn’t always there, but when engaged, Wall has the ability to dominate the game on both ends.

There are times when John Wall seems to will the Washington Wizards to wins. I understand that these highlights are more of the blocks and steals variety, and that’s not all there is on the defensive end (and there are arguments to be made that those are deceptive statistics when taken on face value), but the ability to even make those plays from the point guard position still astounds me. The point is that, on a nightly basis, John has had the ability to brandish breathtaking plays on both ends and I wanted to do a little something in recognition of that.

PLAYOFF HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDED!
