What Wednesday Would Look Like in a Disney Movie

Have you ever imagined what the Netflix series Wednesday would look like if it had been made as an animated movie by the Walt Disney Company instead? We’re picturing some of our favorite characters as they would behave and appear in such a movie, and taking inspiration from other movies from Disney and Pixar in order to do it! As a Disney princess, Wednesday Addams really reminds us a lot of Belle from Beauty and the Beast. She’d have to swap out the iconic presence of Jenna Ortega for big eyes and straight-across bangs of Cinderella though, albeit with her hair done up black instead of blonde! Tyler Galpin, who is portrayed by Hunter Doohan on the Netflix show, would actually have a surprising amount of similarities to Hans from the Disney animated feature Frozen. We imagine that the character brought to life by Christina Ricci, Laurel Gates, would probably have a design that is quite similar to Bellwether from Zootopia, if you only imagined her more as a human than as an anthropomorphized sheep! As a siren, Joy Sunday’s Bianca Barclay automatically strikes up some comparisons to Ariel from the Little Mermaid, or even the sea monsters from Luca, which really makes us think that Disney would probably try to give us a meeting between two different worlds with this type of movie! Bianca’s rivalry with Wednesday would most likely remind us of the dynamic between Vidia and Tinkerbell from Disney’s animated fairies franchise. Meanwhile, Percy Hynes White’s Xavier would most likely feature a design that would have some similarities to Camilo from Encanto.
