Stranger Things Season 4 Deleted Scenes & Alternate Ending

The Duffer Brothers are on their game when it comes to refining the Stranger Things scripts before getting into filming. Preproduction is almost as solid as you could imagine. So not a lot of deleted scenes really even exist! But that doesn't mean options weren't weighed. Like, who do they kill off this season? They always weigh this question heavily. The fates of Max Mayfield, Eddie Munson and even Enzo hung in the balance. Millie Bobby Brown called the Duffers a couple of Sensitive Sally's for their unwillingness to put characters on the chopping block. Their defence, though? Every death has a huge ripple effect and sometimes they just don't want to deal with other characters' grieving for a whole season! Now, that awesome Metallica scene we got of Eddie rocking out on the roof could have been a lot less smooth if the Duffers didn't have extra months to write the scripts prior to filming. They were able to change a huge chunk of his character. He also got some weird meta eulogy from Netflix where all the actors said what they'd miss about him, including Joseph Quinn. The heartwarming coded scene set in the pizza shop between Charlie Heaton's Jonathan and Noah Schnapp's Will Byers almost didn't exist. But after seeing how the love confession played out in the car they knew it was necessary. Vecna, his lair and the Demobats all went through a ton of concept art.
