After two weeks of draining this 25 acre lake finally came the day the Carp were removed, weighed as necessary and returned safely and promtly .. a huge operation with over 500 large Carp !
Weather was cold wet and snowy and the guys n gals got absolutely frozen, most wet suits filled up with freezing water !
But it was a sucessfull operation and a delight to witness and film so many specimen carp.
50 carp under 25 lb (10 kilo mark) were removed together with 200 lb of silver fish, pike, zander and small catfish.
140 fish weighed in at over 44 lbs (20 kilos), 27 were over 55 lbs (25 kilos) many 60 lbs + and the heaviest was 78 lb (35.5 kilos)
After this operation it is predicted these carp will grow even quicker and soon put on another 5lb in weight. It will be an angler's delight.
