How To Pay Your Property Taxes Online In La Paz, Mexico

How to pay your predial (property taxes) in Mexico. I live in the Municipio of La Paz, Mexico which allows online payments. Not all municipalities in Mexico do this, but the process is similar whether in person or online. I just did this for 2023 and it still works!

Property taxes are due at the beginning of each year, and you can typically get a discount if you pay early (and get a payment plan if you need extra time.) But if you're an expat owning a home in Mexico, you shouldn't have any trouble paying this tax. I was amazed at how low the property taxes are in Mexico! Makes me want to buy another house ;-) If you're an American or Canadian living in Mexico, I think you'll like the property tax bills.

Note that you won't get a tax bill in the mail and your mortgage company isn't going to pay it for you (you probably don't have a mortgage in Mexico anyway.) So you must pay attention and not forget to pay every year. I have a spreadsheet of monthly bills that helps me pay everything on time.
