Hi. I'm Lorie Marrero and today's Clutter Video Tip is about how to go green and save some green this Halloween. I'm here at my local Goodwill where we've been looking at some adorable little kids costumes. This elephant [POP] is only 10 dollars, and there are so many other choices here. Obviously it's a great idea to go green by re-using costumes instead of buying something new. And then you want to donate that costume when you're finished. Of course, Goodwill is a wonderful place to buy decorations too. But [POP] you want to think about preventing clutter each time you're considering what decorations to buy. First you want to think about where you are going to store this item. You also want to consider things like whether your child is going to still be [POP] interested in this Halloween character next year when you get it out again. And you want to consider whether the decoration is going to be durable enough to last through several seasons of storage. Here during the Halloween and autumn season we can get a lot more mileage out of our decorations by choosing things that will last all through Thanksgiving. Thinks that are more like pumpkins, gourds, and leaves, things that are a green choice because you could even compost them at the end of the season.

For more green tips [POP] visit our friends at Green Halloween. And if you're in the Austin area, come celebrate with us at the Goodwill Ball. For your nearest donation center or store, visit donate.goodwill.org. Happy Halloween.
