Save Lots of Time on Shipping and Mailing | Clutter Video Tip

http://www.clutterdiet.com Get organized with home organizing tips from professional organizers at The Clutter Diet. Last week we talked about wrapping gifts, this week we are talking about shipping or actually mailing those presents. The lines at the Post Office can be long right now, so imagine taking care of all of your distribution needs right from your computer. The USPS has everything you need for sending car packages; postage, boxes, and even a pick up service. You don't have to leave your home to send packages all over the world. How cool is that? Following these strategies can really relieve holiday stress. These Clutter Video Tips are posted frequently here on our clutterdiet organizing channel. You can search Twitter for #ClutterVideoTip also to find comments on our organizing tips. Hi. I'm Lorie Marrero and today's Clutter Video Tip is about shipping all those holiday gifts. Today I'm going to share with you three things you may not know [POP] about the U.S. Postal Service that may prevent you from ever having to wait in that long line at the Post Office again. First, you may not realize that you can get all of the free boxes and envelopes that you want from the Postal Service web site and you just order them and you can get anything in the Priority Mail or the Express Mail line of containers. I like these flat rate envelopes the best, as well as the different sizes of flat rate boxes, because then you don't even have to weigh it, you know exactly how much it's going to cost to ship.

Secondly, you may not know that you can print the postage for them off of their web site as well. You can use your credit card to pay for the postage, print out a plain sheet of paper on your own printer, and then you can tape it on with some clear packing tape. I really like Staples' Fast Touch tape because it has a dispenser that lets you use only one hand and also has a way that you can never lose the end of the tape, which I know is the hardest, most frustrating thing about using packing tape.

And the third thing to know about the Post Office is that you can go on their web site and request a free package pickup right from your front porch. So you've gotten the free boxes, you've loaded them up, you've printed the postage [POP] out from your own printer at home, and now you can put the box on the porch and the mail carrier will pick it up the very next day. How much better is that than waiting in a long line at the Post Office? So you can use all that extra time to come and visit our expert team on-line and get some help to get organized for the New Year. You can find out more about our program at clutterdiet.com/learn more.

So I'll see you next time, and especially during this holiday season, may you always be happy and grateful for having more than enough.
