Jo Ment - Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye (1970)
Jo Ment performs his version of the Steam hit Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye, from the 1970 album Jo Ment's Midnight Party. Besides leading his own band, Ment was a respected Hamburg session musician who worked with many top German acts including James Last, Bert Kaempfert and the NDR Big Band. Although he often recorded as a session man at Polydor Studios in Hamburg (a large studio on the same scale as Studio 1 at Abbey Road), his own records were made for the Ariola label and recorded at the much smaller Studio Maschen, owned by producer/engineer/composer Joe Menke and located in the cellar of Menke's house in the village of Maschen, outside of Hamburg.
