Close Looks at Tesla Cybertruck at Petersen Automotive Museum
Today Tesla Cybertruck is displayed at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. Let's take a close look at Tesla's electric pickup truck.
Cybertruck's bold design makes it an ideal candidate to become an exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum. The Petersen Automobile Museum is known for exhibiting some of the most talked-about cars in the world that go down in history. The steel beast will be on display from June 20 to 26.
This morning I asked our dedicated community if anyone was going to the Petersen Museum to see the Tesla Cybertruck and if anyone would be able to send a video for our channel to report the news. Thankfully, one of our community members, named gaussdog responded saying we can use the video from his channel. Here is what he wrote in the comments section. “You can use my footage with or without audio, I love your channel and I hope you find something useful. T08here are a lot of shots of the details of the fabrication, and I think you can see that it is pretty high-quality… And for the amount that they plan on charging for the truck, I think it is an extremely good deal, as it is beautiful, nearly flawless and shows amazing workmanship.” Thank you, my friend, I really appreciate your help to bring the Cybertruck from the Petersen Automotive Museum to our Torque News community.
Cybertruck's display at the Petersen Museum is the first public release for Cybertruck since its initial show in November 2019. The prototype has been seen several times in Los Angeles. Once with Tesla CEO Elon Musk at the wheel, and with Jay Leno at the wheel, during the filming for his show. Presentation at the museum will provide the best opportunity to see close-ups of an electric truck that excites minds and hearts.
Now, the truck is inside, and those who bought tickets for admission into the museum are getting the opportunity to stand just a few feet from the unique design from Tesla’s engineers. Many of those who came to the museum to see the Cybertruck are showing photos and videos of the machine, which sits stationary surrounded by ropes, dawning a license plate that says, “CYBRTRK.”
Closeups of the Cybertruck reveal the tugged and robust exterior of the all-electric pickup. The 30X series stainless steel exterior is dent-proof while the glass that is used for all of the windows will be bulletproof.
I have read about people who say they never imagined having a pickup truck, but want to reserve the Cygertruck. You see, Cybertruck greatly expands the market for pickup trucks. The pickup truck category was previously pretty boring and utilitarian, but Cybertruck is stylish, high tech, and different. Cybertruck will attract many customers who would not previously consider a pickup truck.
Regarding the Cybertruck’s paint, I read someone saying Tesla should use the Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) Coating technique to colorize the stainless steel. It's much better than paint. No need to build an expensive Paint Shop. No drying. No orange peel texture. The result is amazing! It might be interesting for aluminum frames as well. But other people say they are happy with unpainted. Dents, scratches, rock chips, rust, door dings .. those are problems for other truck owners. Yet, 500,000 Cybertruck, all of the same color, it could quickly become boring. What are your thoughts about the Cybertruck’s paint?
