Centaur (Bally 1981) 1.1 - bord - Visual Pinball X / VPX - Release Maximum Orbium Strength Achieved!

Centaur is such an awesome challenge, but it can also be highly frustrating! Nothing but the bonus carries over from ball to ball. A lot of effort is spent setting up your multiballs, but more often than not it amounts to nothing. In this game, I finally had three decent balls, with the third being one of those where everything just seemed to fall into place. I achieved Release Maximum Orbium Strength where you have five powerorbs (balls) on the table at the same time. Another frustrating aspect is that you don't get double points or any bonus during multiball, but at least you can take down the targets towards your next multiball much faster. I also had a few frustrating moments where targets didn't register hits at critical moments. All and all a great table, but it takes a lot of effort not to throw your toys out of the cot just about every second game.

My basic aim with any tips and strategy gameplay video I post is to help the viewer improve his skill in the game and on the specific table. I do this by identifying the safest and most efficient strategy to follow to play through the modes and to reach and beat the wizard mode. This is admittedly not always the most efficient way to achieve a high score, but once you understand the table, including which shots and modes are worth it or not, it puts you in the position where you can concentrate on what you have identified as the best approach to reaching a high score.
