Visual Pinball X - Fathom (Bally 1981) Goldchicco - Extra ball, multiball and 55 bonus!

I'm playing Fathom (Bally 1981) by Goldchicco as part of the Virtual Pinball Chat Discord weekly tournament. I haven't played it a lot, but quickly realise that it has some nice strategic elements, something that I love in a pinball table. In this game I start of trying to get the 1-2-3 dropdown targets in sequence so that I can have a short chance of getting the flashing extra ball. I think you can do it on all the balls, but it is a bit of a frustrating strategy as you can get stuck doing that. Further in the game, I start a few multiballs and try my best to rip the spinner as much as possible. I also get the green 55-point carry-over bonus for a few balls and multiply it by 5 on my last ball. The potential is there to score much bigger, but this game gives a good idea of how beautifully the table flows and play.

My basic aim with any tips and strategy gameplay video I post is to help the viewer improve his skill in the game and on the specific table. I do this by identifying the safest and most efficient strategy to follow to play through the modes and to reach and beat the wizard mode. This is admittedly not always the most efficient way to achieve a high score, but once you understand the table, including which shots and modes are worth it or not, it puts you in the position where you can concentrate on what you have identified as the best approach to reaching a high score.
