Bloodborne™ Orphan of Kos

The Orphan can be a difficult fight. He has a pretty large health pool, even in NG. There are a few important things to keep in mind:

1. He has two phases - the 2nd phase is initiated around halfway through his health, and he grows wings.
2. During the first phase, you can punish his leaping attack by moving forward (do NOT dash) as he jumps, letting him jump over your head. As he jumps, start charging your R2 and get an easy backstab.
3. During the 2nd phase, when he does his lightning attack, you want to be far away from the Kos carcass. Either move toward the entrance, or the lake.

This fight will almost certainly take you a few attempts. I recommend equipping runes that increase your visceral damage and the ones that let you carry extra vials.
