At 23, a massive stroke left Stephen unable to speak, read, or write. Doctors said recovery was over after the first year, but the science of neuroplasticity says otherwise. This talk traces his fight to recover, what AI made possible, and the mission it sparked to help the millions of others with aphasia. It's a story about invisible disabilities, the brain's ability to rewire, and refusing to quit. Stephen Albright is the founder and CEO of AphasiaGPT, an AI-powered platform helping people with language disabilities find their voice. He is currently completing his MBA at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and is an alumnus of UNC Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School. Before building AphasiaGPT, Stephen worked in consulting in New York City. His personal experience with aphasia and hemianopsia following a stroke at age 23 drives his mission to create technology that bridges the gap between the brain and the world.
