These videos are meant to be educational but also funny, so if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!
0:00 Intro
0:05 The customer drove the vehicle away. No extra info.
0:23 The customer paid to get a new fuel tank installed and have the exhaust properly re-routed and installed by the shop.
0:36 2WD Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Not the best option to lift the front end of a truck. A leveling puck/spacer on top of the strut would have been a better fit.
0:44 The fuel line you see disconnected was disconnected by the tech, as he was about to take it apart. The customer never installed the o-ring for the fuel pump, even though he had one. The technician cleaned up the mess of silicone, replaced the fuel line, and installed the o-ring for the fuel pump as per the customer's request.
1:00 The technician said it was a VW (does not remember the model).
The customer's insurance company paid to get new fuel lines and a fuel filter installed.
1:12 What you see are rubber hoses used for brake lines, not fuel lines (the technician verified they weren't fuel lines).
The technician said he thinks it was a fish tank hose that was used as brake lines. Since rubber hoses were used as brake lines, it caused air to enter the brake system causing the no brake concern that the customer had. This can be very dangerous and should never be done.
1:27 The customer had booster cables going to the battery, and to the power inverter that went to the microwave in the back. The technician said he's never seen anything like this before.
1:40 Blower motor and wiring were fixed. This could have ended badly!
1:54 The technician said he's not sure how nobody realized this, as the passenger tire is almost 2 inches taller. Something he has never seen before. Good thing they realized quickly as this could have caused damage to the front differential.
2:09 Hole in manual transmission. Had to get replaced.
2:17 Transmission had to get replaced.
2:28 The customer had duct taped a "shield" underneath their vehicle all around to try and stop it from rattling. It still rattled but the technician resecured it for the customer.
2:38 2013 Volvo (did not mention the model). The customer approved the repairs.
2:51 A great tip that shared with us. Thought it was helpful so I wanted to share.
3:13 Outro. Thanks for watching!
