Before shipping out, Thomas Bennett wrote a prayer.
"Oh God, shake me from my apathy. From my wanderings of mind. Create in me discipline, concern, and love. Help me live really live in Spirit and in Truth." Those who served beside him said those words described him perfectly.
He ran through gunfire. He carried the wounded. He never once raised a weapon. He asked God to help him truly live. He only got 41 days in Vietnam.
But in 41 days he lived more than most people do in a lifetime.
