M/V Estonia - the floating cube

From about 40 seconds into the video there is a floating orange cube visible at the port side bow ramp.

The German group of experts had experts look into the cube and identify what it could be. The conclustion was that the cube is an explosive device which did not explode, while on the opposite side, starboard, it did explode. It is thouht to have been placed were it was found during the time period of the 2 and 9 October 1994 by divers.

There have been several explanations what the cube is. JAIC members claimed it to be a part of a stools pallet and it has also been explained as being a survival kit.
