2024 F1 Monaco GP qualifying analysis by Peter Windsor

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc starts his home Grand Prix from pole position - from what will live in history as the 250th pole for the Scuderia. It wasn't easy, coming as it did after an engine change, debris jammed in the front wing and something loose in the footwell area, but it was a pole earned with skill and accuracy, as Peter Windsor describes in this video. McLaren-Mercedes' Oscar Piastri lines up alongside Charles after another superlative display of controlled pace; and Carlos Sainz made it a strong one-three for Ferrari in the other SF-24. Should he win tomorrow, Leclerc will be the first Monagasque to win his home race since Louis Chiron in 1931.
Note: after this video was processed the FIA announced that both Haas-Ferraris (mentioned in this video) would be starting from the back of the grid due to rear wing dimension infringements.
