Midnights Void Elf & Demon Hunter Spec Unlock Guide Part 3 of 3 (SBA DPS Build & Midnight Gameplay)

Welcome Heroes to part 3 of 3 of my Midnights Void Elf & Demon Hunter unlock compilation guide, now we have completed "A Common Cause" and "Ghostlands" lets dive in to part 3 and start our Devourer DPS Annihilator AoE build and see how the class and spec plays, to do that i will beginning the Midnight expansion and completing the starter zone, i have already started the Midnight expansion with my other toon "Illidan" which was a breeze as i've got high level gear, i do struggle a little in this video as i get used to the new class and specs, so bear with me, i'm used to my BEHDH which i can play without SBA or any visual UI on screen, but this is my first time playing VEADH, be kind, also i did a character boost for "Voidsufferer" as i wanted her to jump straight in on midnight as ive done most other expansions now, so i've only got basic gear, Blizzard suggests its good enough for Midnight so i guess i need more practice lol.

Contains cutscenes, so if you haven't played this expansion, SPOILER ALERT! just watch the SBA DPS build which i go through first before any gameplay, enjoy.

ANNIHILATOR:

Annihilator pulls ahead in multi-target scenarios. It can leverage its higher damage from Collapsing Star, as well as access to a frequent AoE tool with Voidfall. As such, it is currently the most highly recommended choice to date.

Annihilator leans heavily into AoE tools in AoE, foregoing all melee talent options to focus on it. Now that we are in the season, the larger and longer pulls lend well to Emptiness on the final choice node. This provides longer extension for Void Metamorphosis, and thus more casts of Collapsing Star. Some additional notes are:

Due to frequent combat drops giving opportunities to reset Doomsayer's availability, it's preferred in most AoE content to set up at the start of pulls quickly.
Annihilator finishes the entire right side capstone area to reach Eradicate. This helps convert Reap into an AoE tool after channelling Void Ray, allowing you to apply the damage increases from Moment of Craving and Soulshaper for extra value.

DEVOURER:

New in Midnight is the Apex Talent system, a sequential group of talents which unlock as you acquire each specialization tree talent point on the journey from 80 to 90. These are grouped together in 4, with different effects at each level. Unlike other talents, they are all in one node, with each point invested enhancing the effect. The Devourer Demon Hunter Apex is "Midnight", providing significant benefits to Collapsing Star :

1: Midnight — Your Collapsing Star will now always Critically Strike.

2: Midnight — Has two points, increasing all Cosmic damage dealt by 3%, and increases the Critical Strike damage of Collapsing Star by 50% of your Critical Strike chance per point. This bonus is additive with Calamitous.
Midnight Icon Midnight — Upon entering Void Metamorphosis Icon Void

3: Metamorphosis, instantly spawn 5 Soul Fragments and immediately gain access to one cast of Collapsing Star.

While not every build takes the Apex Talents, for those that do, it significantly increases the power of Collapsing Star, turning it into one of the strongest damage sources. The final point in particular also increases the access to up-front casts, making each Void Metamorphosis cast more impactful.

Tips:

Reap will collect all soul fragments needed automatically as i mention in the video the rotation below will do that for you.

For this SBA Strat and rotation you want to cast "Consume" x2 which will produce x4 souls so you can then use "Reap" which consumes those souls, deals damage and produces x6 souls, repeat that step again then cast "Void Ray" at 100 fury, after "Void Ray" your cooldown for "Reap" will reset due to "Movement of Craving" and collect an additional x6 soul fragments, due to "Eradiate" your next "Reap" will be much more powerful dealing an additional 19k also, then you go back to "Void Ray" then a strong "Reap", then continue the process with "Consume, Consume, Reap, Void Ray, strong Reap, Void Ray, strong Reap, Consume, Consume, Void Ray, strong Reap et", then when you've got 50 souls you can cast metamorphosis.

The start of the phase will always be the slowest as you need to build up enough fury for void ray but void ray also produces a lot of fury, so when you get to that level you will only need to do a couple of casts and you can use Void Ray again which will reset reap, this rotation will produce high level DPS, some people don't really use Reap as they think its not necessary or powerful, but if done right Reap is actually very useful and a great damage output : )

I hope this helps someone?
That's it from me, until next time... I'm out! Heroes?
