FF7 Rebirth - Meridian Ocean Phenomenon Intel & Secret Boss Fight (Gilgamesh)

To unlock the Meridian Ocean Phenomenon Intel, you'll need to collect all of the Protorelics scattered across the six different regions. Once you've collected them, a new Phenomenon Intel will appear leading you straight to Gilgamesh Island.

In order to complete this intel you will need to have obtained all summoning materia from Chadley to progress at the island, that doesn’t include the bonus Summons for pre-ordering the game.

The first fight is against Titan and Bahamut. Neither Summon is difficult and it doesn’t matter who you prioritize, i would focus on Bahamut first if your struggling, as he is the toughest of the two, best to get him out the way.

Kujata and Phoenix are your next opponents, you will need to defeat Kujata here twice as Phoenix is tethered to Kujata, to break the tether you will need to defeat Kujata first, soon as you defeat him, heal up quick because Phoenix will cast Rebirth Flame that not only revives Kujata but deals serious damage to your party, with the tether broken he cannot heal Kujata again, now defeat Phoenix then turn your focus back to Kujata.

Next up you will have to face Odin and Alexander, if you have Odins summons from Chadley you will know he can be a pain with his Zantetsuken ability, which will instantly kill your entire party, when you get warning that he is going to use Zantetsuken (Gjallerhorns Warning) you need to interrupt him by dealing moves that deal massive damage, you will need to dodge his attacks as much as possible as every hit displeases him and he will be one move closer to using Zantetsuken, dont block as this counts as a hit, you will need to focus 100% on Odin first to have any success on this one, if you struggle, use Phoenix as your Summon so you can use the Reraise ability to give yourself another auto-revive, equip Cloud’s Umbral Blade as its Reprieve weapon ability lets you survive a death blow, revival materia will come in handy, so will the revival earrings, good luck...

Now you've defeated all the summons.... all over again! You can now focus on Gilgamesh, he only deals physical damage so Barrier will help here, keep everyone’s ATB abilities and Limit Breaks ready for when you stagger him in order to maximise your damage output.
