Here is my first introduction to "Silent Hill 2" starting with the remake, i've never played the Original of this game so its all new to me, so i am unable to make any comparisons of the two, i have played the first Silent hill & Silent Hill 4 the room which was earie as hell, i am a fan of the movies (first one more so) and survival horrors in general so i'm surprised i haven't played many of the franchise.

I have been wanting to play this game now for about a year, since it is currently free to download on PS Plus atm, i decided to finally give it ago, this isn't a guide (i spent a lot of time in the red lol, i wasn't great), i don't know the puzzles an everything else yet, i'm just getting used to the mechanics and play as such, i still need to work out the puzzles, i just had to record my first experience with the game, the fog wasn't as restrictive on vision as much as in the first Silent Hill, though it did come come in thick at one point that was a but clenching moment, the ambience was on point, there was a couple of jump scares and it definitely kept me on edge, i was going to make this a full playthrough but i feel the game wont supply enough medical supplies to get me through to the end : )
so for now its just taking a look at the game.

This was recorded on PS5 and for some reason i can only record an hours play at a time, so just before i got to the hour mark i saved at a save point, i made two saves for editing purposes so i could almost seamlessly blend and clip the cuts without too much notice to the video, the second save i jumped off and made some dinner so you will notice a time jump on the second save.

The remake of the 1999 Silent Hill has been confirmed & currently being developed by "Bloober" & in full production, just throw that in there, likely 2027.

One of Bloober’s in-house teams (the same team from Silent Hill 2 Remake) are fully dedicated to the project, modernizing visuals, controls and improving "quality-of-life features" keeping the signature psychological horror atmosphere.
The project was teased at Konami’s Press Start Live broadcast (June 2025) showing the Silent Hill logo and the games original music.
