🏰 🏰 🏰 The castle was built using only natural products and the result is a feeling of being totally at one with nature. Everything from the architecture to the furniture is made from local natural products and the calming atmosphere that you get when you sit by the natural spring style pool or sip a glass of wine on one of the many terraces overlooking the Red Sea is truly incredible.

It goes without saying that the views are fantastic… there is a private beach where you can enjoy swimming in the crystal-clear waters boasting some of the best coral reefs in the area.

Staff are attentive yet discrete and all speak English. One of the main reasons that guests visit the Castle is to sample the delicious food. The restaurant uses an age-old method of cooking called ‘Slow food’. Basically, this means that your meat or fish is cooked at a low temperature over a long period of time. The results are mouth-watering good…. I would say some of the best food I have ever eaten!

Castle Zaman can cater for small private functions including weddings, and is guaranteed to send everyone home with amazing memories of a truly relaxed and peaceful time. Kids would perhaps find the place a challenge…no water slides or entertainers hahaha and obviously as the building is contructed on a cliff some areas are not suitable for more elderly guests or guests with mobility issues.

But in my book Castle Zaman is the hidden gem in the crown of South Sinai and definitely a place that is worth a visit. If you plan on a day trip, food can be ordered in advance but take my advice and stay awhile perhaps in one of the bungalows on the beach… a short break here will make you will feel like you have been away for days!
