Prosthetics In Motion hosted a demonstration day with Otto Bock, for the new Triton Smart Ankle. The Triton smart ankle utilizes Europa™ technology and other sensors to gather data about force, acceleration and torque, then the microprocessor calculates the necessary adjustment to the hydraulic system to facilitate ankle motion. With a very large 34º range of motion, the Triton smart ankle delivers benefits like the Relief Function, which allows foot flat while sitting or while standing on slopes. In addition, the phone app for users lets the wearer makes adjustments for heel heights of up to two inches.
