Tesla Terafactory Texas Update #106 in 4K: Roof For The Giga Press - 02/04/21 (5:00pm | 72°F)

Hey guys, it’s Randy! It was a pretty windy day at the site, but I still managed to get some good updates for you all! Today’s video shows lots of great progress as usual, most notably Double T roof sections being installed in the spaces above the casting machine and the east central structure having some concrete poured.

I’d also like to give a quick shoutout to Steve who was visiting from Seattle and was back in Austin after visiting SpaceX in Boca Chica for the SN9 test flight. It was great talking to you today and safe travels back home!

Let’s get right into today’s key takeaways:
- In the northeast corner, we see that crews have started installing the Double T roof sections in the area that is directly over where the current casting machine is.
- Next, is our look at both structures running along the eastern edge of the factory. What I didn’t notice until reviewing the footage is that concrete was actually poured in the entire north end of the 2nd level of the section center screen! Besides this, the build out of both of these sections is on pace with what we’ve been seeing thus far.
- The south end shows a quick look at what they are doing with the electrical work coming from the new power lines that were placed south of the building. Jumping over to the structure, rebar is being laid in the remaining areas at the southern end of it. As for wall panel installation, we see more panels going up at the top half of the wall and extending to the north.
- On the west side, we see that the structural steel is finally extending into the gap between the two halves of the site and as this gets built out, we’ll see if that one last gap remains or will they actually connect the structures, which could finally give us a clue into whether the road is still in the plans or not!
- Over on the far east side near the contractor trailers, we see what looks like duct materials for the HVAC system. Further south of here, we get a look at where we saw the robots yesterday and they have all been moved into these storage containers.
