Baby Owl Takes a Peek at the World
April 10, 2010: Weve seen three baby owlets, and weve seen the larger two often peck the youngest one. As long as there is enough food, the youngest chick will survive and grow up. When theres a lack of food, the weakest chick will die and ultimately serve as food for his siblings. So far, enough prey has been delivered by the male. Soon the female will go hunting as well, and the young owlets will be left alone longer and longer.
