COMMON FURNITURE WOODS: Beginner's Guide for Furniture Flipping / Refinishing
The number one MOST asked question I get... is "how do you know what kind of wood that is". It's not always an easy answer, and 99% of it is research, practice, and experience. But there ARE some hints that certain wood species give away that can help.
This video won't make you an expert... there's no substitute for literal practice with it. But I'm hoping it will help people just starting out to recognize some common wood species used in furniture, as well as a little about the structure and composition and characteristics of wood as well.
