Ibu Volcano Eruption Update; Risk of a Major Eruption, Evacuations Underway

A major explosive volcanic eruption has the potential to soon occur at the Ibu volcano. As a result, thousands of people were evacuated and Ibu's alert level was raised to its highest level, red. The largest exclusion zone for Ibu at the present is towards the north, which happens to represent a breached section of its crater rim. If a powerful eruption was to occur there in Indonesia, it could produce up to 7 kilometer long pyroclastic flows in that direction in my opinion.
