Former White House chief says Trump made a ‘big mistake’ entering Iran war

Speaking on the Real Time with Bill Maher show on Saturday, former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel says President Trump made a ‘big mistake’ by deciding to go to war with Iran alongside Israel.

“Every one of the other presidents said not a chance are we doing that because the equities are not worth it. This president bought it. He has responsibility as a commander-in-chief. And I think he made a big mistake for it,” Emanuel said.

He also criticised US military aid to Israel, arguing that “there should be no more taxpayer support for what they want to do” and that they should get “the same deal” that other US allies do.
