Chiacchiere a 500 years old Renaissance recipe for Italian Carnival - Frappe, Bugie Recipe

Le Frappe, Chiacchiere, Bugie and hundreds of other names to call one of the most beloved treat of the Italian Carnival period. This is one of the oldest recorded recipes still used today, which first appeared in Renaissance texts over 500yrs ago. This is an authentic Frappe recipe which is quick fun and yields a sweet that is light yet totally scrumptious. Top it up with icing sugar, honey, chocolate or whatever you like best!

While traditionally it is a Carnival treat therefore enjoyed during February and March...I can guarantee that once you learn how to do it it will be a treat that will be present in your house all year round!

250 gr Flour 00
85 gr White Wine
1 whole egg
1 egg yolk
15g of unsalted butter
25g of sugar
0.5 gr Salt
