Donald Trump is 'absolutely entitled' to question vote count procedure

SA Liberal Senator Alex Antic says Donald Trump is “absolutely entitled” to test the vote-count procedures in court “where the evidence can be tested”.

“The first thing that strikes me is how glad we’ve got the Australian Electoral Commission here who do such a great job in terms of our elections and the scrutiny in which they’re contained,” Mr Antic told Sky News host Rowan Dean.

“You can’t imagine … some of the things that you’ve seen out of the US going on in Australia, you know, no scrutineers, scrutineers getting turfed.

“It’s extraordinary, and there’s a lot of criticism for Donald Trump for asking the question of his legal rights.

“We’re not playing for the president of the local RSL here, we’re playing for the president of the free world.

“With the greatest of respect, I think he’s absolutely entitled to test these things in court where the evidence can be tested.”
