Inspiration4 SpaceX booster heads to the hangar
The Falcon 9 first stage that launched the Inspiration4 crew on Sept. 15, 2021, was returned to its hangar at Kennedy Space Center. Designated B1062, the rocket was on its third flight having previously launched two GPS navigation satellites.
The booster landed about eight minutes after launch on the SpaceX recovery barge 'Just Read the Instructions'. It was transported from Port Canaveral to undergo pre-launch processing at the new Hangar X facility.
