RECIPE:
Heat 3 tbs butter + 2 tbs olive oil
To the butter/oil add a few pinches of crushed red pepper flakes
Next saute 2 tbs minced garlic until golden
Then add 1/3 cup of vodka until the alcohol smell is cooked down/out (sorry I am very bad at this chef lingo lol)
Slice a handful of cherry tomatoes into halves then sauté in + season with salt
Next add 3/4 cup of diced tomatoes (boxed or canned)
+ about 1 cup of heavy cream + 1/4 cup of chicken broth
Let simmer while the pasta is boiling (reserve a spoon full of pasta water )
Add 1/2 cup (maybe more? Lol) of grated parmesan + some fresh basil to the sauce
Add pasta water to the sauce to thin it out a bit.
Combine the sauce with pasta
When plating, top with a few spoonfuls of ricotta + freshly cracked sea salt (DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP!)
ITS CRUCIAL!
Then end. Eat it.
