Trains to and from Munich Central Station were also halted, Germany's national railroad said, advising passengers to postpone or re-route their travel. The dpa news agency reported that some passengers in Munich and the nearby city of Ulm spent Friday night on trains because of the stoppage.
According to the local transportation service, no buses or streetcars were running in Munich as of midday Saturday. The bad weather also affected some subway and regional train lines.
