Piano Restoration Quick Tip - Rough Filing Key Fronts with a Bench Grinder
I wanted to share this quick video tip on how I quickly removed the excess material on the bottom of my new plastic key top fronts with a bench grinder. This is not the final pass, but this allows you to remove the majority of the material so that the finial filing can go much quicker. I used this method on all the white keys on my antique upright piano, and it saved me a bunch of time.
