130 Year Old Piano Rebuild - Part 13 - Key Filing & Notching
In this video, I am filing the keytops on my 130 year old Ivers & Pond upright piano. In the previous video, I prepared the key bed and key rails for the keys, aligned the fronts of the keys, and scribed the notch marks on the white keys. In this video, I start the process of filing the keys tops and fronts to fit the wood key sticks. You get a chance to see the process for hand filing these keys and giving them a satin finish using 0000 fine steel wool.
