Lance Community Sync - Feb 26, 2026

Today's sync introduced a proposed hint file optimization (pending a Lance file format vote) that cuts S3 Express load times to ~40ms, outlined a redesign of multi-tenant caching to prevent cross-tenant data leaks, and announced Lance 2.0.0 RC2 with recent fixes and a DataFusion upgrade.
