Lance Community Sync - Mar 26, 2026

Lance 4.0.0 SDK is nearing release with RC3 out for testing, alongside major ecosystem updates like Lance is now a core extension of DuckDB with formal documentation and we now have a new Lance-PrestoDB connector. Ongoing discussions focus on index scalability, design workflows, and upcoming improvements to metadata and FTS.
