340 | I've Officially Entered PATAGONIA!! - Santa Cruz (Patagonia Travel VLOG)

21 November 2019 - Day 91 - Bariloche to El Chalten | 340

This morning we get up nice and early and catch our bus at 7:30am, ready for a 24hr bus journey 1500km south along Ruta 40 down to El Chalten!! The place to see the famous Mt. Fitz Roy! 🚌🌝🌚

I’m an occasional Netflix binger, and call me late, but being able to download episodes and watch them later offline has now REVOLUTIONISED my long haul trips! The day whizzed by watching Season 1 of El Chapo! 📺

Late afternoon, the bus stops randomly alongside the highway sign. We just entered the province of Santa Cruz and now officially entered PATAGONIA!! Every single day I’ve been here I still cannot believe I am travelling though this part of the world!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽

At 8:30pm we get to our halfway point at Los Antiguos and transfer onto our 11hr overnight bus. This town (and the close-by Perito Moreno Town) are also popular stops along the Patagonia trail. Literally right next to the Chilean border, it is also a common crossing hub between the 2 countries and is on level with General Carrera in Chile. We end the night with a snack box on the bus as we watch the sunset as the sky only began to get dark at 9:30pm!! 🌄🌄
