Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid Review

1.5 L inline 4-cylinder 16 valve gas powered engine with Sequential multi-point fuel injection and Variable valve control

The gas engine produces 103 hp and 99 lb ft torque

The Electric motor produces: 181hp @ 5,000RPM
Total Hybrid system hp is 221 and this does have a 25.5 kWh Lithium-Ion Battery

The Clarity is driven by a continuously variable automatic transmission with Mode select and it is front wheel drive

The Honda Clarity is available in two trim levels. The Base and the Touring with prices from $33,400 to $36,600 to start.

Summary
The Clarity Plug-In is a pleasant car that can work for many people as an electric vehicle most of the time and not leave them with much range anxiety. Some flaws such as the not-so-terrific seats and frustrating controls gave me pause. But for green-car buyers in this price bracket, I doubt you can find a better sedan.
