Windsor Town Council debate in Council RBWM 02032021

On 2nd March 2021, the full council of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead (RBWM) discussed a proposal to move forward to restoring a Town Council to Windsor.
The process that led to the Community Governance Review was initiated by a a group of residents led by Richard Endacott, Andre Walker, and also Cllr Wisdom Da Costa and Cllr Carole Da Costa.
Here, Cllr Wisdom Da Costa welcome the proposal and the creation of a vehicle, the Windsor Town Council, that would see more money come to Windsor and give residents a direct say on where that money is spent, the chance to stand for election to represent their neighbours and, a vehicle to boost local services & amenities.
HOWEVER, the report has two major failings;
1. It excludes hundreds of Windsorians from participating in such a Council and
2. It fails to give residents a picture of the range of service and financial benefits it will bring and, the corresponding impact on their Council Tax.
